Copper Rock

Copper Rock Golf Course, located in Hurricane, Utah, is a premier golfing destination that seamlessly blends challenging play with the region’s stunning natural beauty. Opened to the public in February 2020, this par-72 championship course stretches over 7,227 yards, offering a dynamic layout that caters to golfers of all skill levels.

Designed by a team organized under Gordon Zitting, Copper Rock traverses dunes dotted with native sagebrush and is set against a backdrop of rustic sandstone formations. Each hole provides sweeping vistas of the Pine Valley Mountains, the Hurricane Cliffs, and Zion National Park, creating a visually captivating experience throughout the round.

The course features a variety of hole designs, including risk-reward par-4s, a distinctive par-5 with a 75-yard-long green, and challenging par-3s. Notably, the 9th and 18th holes share a massive green bisected by a unique bunker, adding a memorable twist to the layout.

Copper Rock’s meticulously maintained fairways and greens, combined with its strategic bunkering and natural hazards, demand thoughtful shot-making and course management.
